“Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville” to open the 2024-2025 GWC Theater Arts department season!

Escape to Margaritaville

Welcome to Margaritaville, the island paradise where city folk get away from it all!

Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville is a musical comedy featuring the most-loved Jimmy Buffett classics, including “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” “Margaritaville,” “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” “Fins,” “Volcano,” and many more. Imagine a place where the sun is hot, the ocean’s warm, and the drinks are as cold as they are plentiful. With a book by Emmy Award winner Greg Garcia (“My Name is Earl,” “Raising Hope”) and Emmy nominee Mike O’Malley (“Survivor’s Remorse,” “Shameless”), this hilarious, heartwarming musical is the party you’ve been waiting for!

As you kick off your flip flops and set your clock to island time, our stage is transformed into a tropical paradise where love and laughter are the keys to ‘growing older but not up.’ Join us in Margaritaville!

Jimmy Buffett’s Escape to Margaritaville opens Friday October 4 and runs through Sunday October 13 in the 326-seat Mainstage Theater on the GWC campus and features a cast of 25 with a 9-piece band rocking out live on stage. Martie Ramm directs and choreographs, with musical direction by Rick Heckman.
